MARCH 2009: Create A Sustainable Earth project: TKA is conducting a poll to define community goals around sustainability for business and educution within Kankakee County. The results of the poll will be presented at a public forum in March, along with a presentation of the LEED certified Chicago Green Tech Resource Center. This event will be hosted by Kankakee Community College.

- Distinguishing Platinum, Gold, Silver LEED Certification from a technology perspective
- In seeking a strong energy efficiency score, how should facilities and energy service providers evaluate their technology choices?
- Does the rating system have any explicit or implicit technology preferences or bias?
- How are new efficient technologies integrated into the rating system?
- What do manufacturers or suppliers need to consider as they roll out new products or business lines?
- If facilities score high in the non-energy efficiency scoring components, what level of energy efficiency derived savings must be demonstrated to achieve LEED certification?
